Photographers are people too, believe it or not! We don't just snap photos 24/7. While I was in Greece capturing the magic of beautiful couples, I made sure to enjoy some time to myself as well. And let's face it, being in Greece and skipping a wine tasting? That's basically a crime against... well, Greece itself!
By a happy accident (long story) I found this little winery owned by the incredibly warm lady, Fereniki Douloufaki. It turned out to be a gem! The visit was delightful, wine incredible and we even got a fresh platter of veggies, bread, and cheese—with homemade SALT!
Everything together was simply amazing.
Fereniki shared with us the rich cultural and historical background of wine production in Crete. She also explained how they make their own salt because my mind was blown. You might think, 'It’s just salt, what’s the big deal?' Well, go to Greece and then we can talk 😃.
If you are ever in Greece, be sure to stop by at DAF Wines, and in meantime, take a look at the highlights from my visit there on the photos below!
